The Pain Of The Grieving Mothers by Naomi Johnson

The Pain Of The Grieving Mothers by Naomi Johnson

To all of my grieving mothers, whose hearts are torn apart,

In a battle most cannot fathom, we carry the weight of our child's depart.

The agony we endure, the pain we cannot withstand, As we watch our children suffer from death, we long to hold their hand.

It feels as though we've died too, forgotten in our grief, Tears streaming down our faces, offering no relief. We witness our beloved ones laid to rest, Their absence leaving a void deep within our chest.

The loss of a child, the greatest pain we bear, Others cannot understand the depth of despair. Our lives forever altered, no return to what once was, Our souls shattered, our hearts heavy with loss.

We cannot simply move on, as some may suggest, Our grief is a burden we must learn to digest. It changes us, consumes us, leaves us hollow inside, A constant reminder of the love that once thrived.

No amount of time can heal the wounds we carry, Each day a struggle, each moment, so harry. We fight to keep our sorrow at bay, But it lingers, it haunts us, it never goes away.

Our loss doesn't just change us, it breaks us apart, Leaving behind a void, a chasm in our heart. We navigate through life, with a heaviness we bear, Forever longing for the children we cannot hold, cannot share.

So to all of my grieving mothers, I offer this embrace, In our shared sorrow, may we find solace, find grace. For though our journey is marked by pain and despair, Together, we'll find strength, for each other, we'll be there.
