                 Don't Discriminate Against Me

Because Of My Race    

In the mirror's gaze, skin's hue stands plain,

But deeper lies the essence of my reign.

Beyond the pigment, realms of thought reside, Integrity and strength within abide.

My intellect, a beacon burning bright, Guiding through the darkness of the night. With roots that delve into the spiritual ground, And fruits of wisdom plentiful and sound.

In words I speak, in actions I employ, Lies the measure of the man you would enjoy. A balance struck in views, confusion quelled, A peaceful soul in which serenity is held.

With humility, the image I present, Each task was approached with fervor, with intent. From start to finish, through thick and thin, My resolve was unwavering, my spirit's kin.

Yet still, beneath the surface lies unseen, A trove of qualities, a hidden stream. So judge not by the color of my skin, But by the substance found deep within.

For in truth, you do not truly know, The depths from which my inner virtues flow. So look beyond the surface, and you'll see, 

The richness of the soul that defines me.
