In the heart of January, on the third Monday's light,

We unite to honor a leader, in history's insightful flight.

MLK Day in twenty-four, January's scene,

A day of reflection, where memories convene.

Financial institutions and agencies close their door,

In homage to a visionary, whose influence we adore.

A National Day of Service, beyond mere thought,

Volunteer in communities, where change is sought.

Martin Luther King Jr., activist, author, divine,

His legacy resonates, like a timeless rhyme.

In the civil rights movement, a pivotal guide,

Through peaceful protests, justice as the tide.

Eloquent speeches and sermons, a beacon so bright,

In our collection of quotes, his words take flight.

From "I Have a Dream," on Lincoln's grand stage,

To the Nobel Prize acceptance, a peace sage.

Selma, Alabama, echoes of "Our God is Marching On!"

Inspiration flowing, like a peaceful dawn.

Life cut short in '68, a tragic night,

Yet, his legacy lives on, a radiant light.

Love, freedom, equality, enduring ideals to preach,

Through words of hope, new generations teach.

Whether shared on social media or in quiet embrace,

Read on and remember, let his vision embrace.

In contemplation this MLK Day, let us aspire,

To a world where justice and freedom never tire.

A Nobel-winning anthem, a viral embrace,

In the spirit of peace, let his legacy trace.

Hush Silence

Amongst the hush of silence, they silenced your breath, Yet your voice in quotes defies even death. Through legacy and words that linger and soar, You've given the world your best, forevermore.

Spiritual energy, an eternal flame, Defying the forces that sought to maim. Your existence, a testament, refusing to decay, Compassion and humanity, in every heart, hold sway.

For equality, you fought with relentless might, In the civil rights movement, a beacon of light. Injustices unveiled, brought to the public eye, A warrior against the shadows, reaching for the sky.

Against the wicked who despised hues of brown, You prayed for an end, casting away the frown. A federal holiday, institutions at rest, Homage paid, in love, you're truly blessed.

"I Have a Dream," echoed on Lincoln's grand stage, In '63, your words, an undying sage. Civil rights speeches, like pillars on solid ground, Pressure words that echo, a timeless sound.

Nobel laureate, '64, a momentous embrace, In Selma, "Our God is Marching On!" you grace. Your spirit lives on, a peace Nobel-winning view,

A viral anthem, celebrating you anew.
