Why Governor Phil Murphy Did Not Want To Pass A Law For Deshon But Pass A Law For The Tommy Law
Deshon's mother went to Union, New Jersey, where Governor Phil Murphy was giving a speech to discuss passing a law in her son Deshon Johnson's name. Who was killed by a Coach USA bus driver operating an NJ Transit? Governor Phil Murphy told the disabled black mother that he does not have anything to do with NJ Transit and blew her off.
Based on my research online, I found an article that Governor Phil Murphy does have something to do with NJ Transit. Murphy appointed NJ Transit Commissioner appointed an advocate for NJ Transit workers, and signed a bill for a white young man Tommy who was killed by an NJ Transit Train Engineer. Tommy was killed in 2016, and it took two years to pass a law. Deshon was killed in 2012, and no law was passed in his name yet.
Deshon's mother wrote to US Senator Bob Melendez, spoke to Nia Gill, called Congressman Donald Payne Jr., Sheila Oliver, and a host of other politicians to pass a Deshon law, they all ignored her. Why? I guess this black young man's life doesn't matter.
