Soulality Honor famous poet Naomi Johnson for Women's History Month 2013

Naomi Johnson was born in Newark and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. She is the youngest daughter of Mamie Timmons and the late Fred Johnson. Naomi has two sisters living and one brother who passed away. She attended the Newark and East Orange school district. After graduated from high school, Naomi went on to college; to receive her A.S. degree in Early Childhood and  B.A., majoring in Elementary Education. As she was pursing her degrees Naomi worked as a Teacher’s Aid and as a Substitute
Teacher/Provisional Teacher in the Newark school system. Thereafter, she landed a teaching job at Chad
private school as a kindergarten teacher. Few years later, Naomi returned to college to purse a
certification in Teaching with The Handicapped and a M.A degree in Teaching with Technology.

While pursing her Master she was faced with a horrific car accident in Bloomfield New Jersey Wednesday July 18, 2007 that abruptly ended her career.  Through her pain and recovery she found strength within from her spiritual faith to pursue a career in writing.  This prolific writer and  illustrator set her mind to venture her talent elsewhere. She does most of her illustrations and with some help from her son Deshon. A few of Deshon’s artwork and photographs are exhibited in the book. Later on in life, she started to write poetry after the tragic death of he brother Eugene Richard Bufford Jr. from gun violent. Due to the death of her brother and her car accident Naomi fused her two talents together to write this book of uplifting poems and illustrations.

In 2011 Naomi went back to college to get certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Teaching English as a Second Language with Oxford Seminar held at Rutgers campus in Newark New Jersey and Business English at Institute for Technology and Professional Studies Bloomfield College New Jersey.

Naomi Johnson self publish her first book Soulality-Fruit for Your Soul (Inspirational) and Soulality Love Emotions in May of 2012.  Naomi also was preparing for an Art Show to display her art. Not only was she a Teacher, Poet, Author and Artist. She was an Entrepreneur of an online store call Mysoulality. Her online store has her artwork on all products for sell.

Then five years later after fighting to live from her horrific car accident Wednesday July 18 2012 in Bloomfield New Jersey Naomi Johnson faced another tragedy that ended her life forever when a Coach USA bus driver operating a NJ Transit bus killed her only child Deshon Johnson by jumping the curb dragging him 50 to 100 yards to his demised. Naomi and her son were indissoluble. Her son was her world, strength, light of her life and energy. Naomi is fighting Essex County Prosecutor, NJ Transit, Bloomfield New Jersey police department and Coach USA for justice for her only child. It is sad to say that the Bloomfield police department was not held liable for Naomi Johnson disability when they were chasing a stolen car in a residential area. Once again Bloomfield police department is off the hook without during proper investigation with Naomi's son's death that occurs in their township.

Naomi is now running her son's online store Noneillahstore.com and other business he started before his short lived life. She is take some of the product money and putting it towards her son Deshon Johnson college scholarship for qualified candidate who want to major in business and music like Deshon.

We at Soulality telling Naomi to stay strong and justice will be served. We also like to honor you for Women History Month.
