Devoted College Student and Son Killed by NJ Transit
bus while going to work to Support his Disable mother.
Ms Naomi Johnson is getting
unclear information on her son’s case. It is lead to believe that the Essex
County prosecutor is passing the death blame on the victim to protect county
road. The prosecutor office is making claims that Mr. Johnson was struck on
Bay. However, Mayor McCarthy of Bloomfield stated it happen on the corner of Broad
Street which is the county road. There are questionable suspicious and it is a
shame to blame the death on the victim who cannot advocate for himself.
Ms. Johnson is heartbroken
every day thinking about the tragic fatality of her son’s death. Ms. Johnson said, “She is dealing with ongoing psychological
trauma”. She stated, “Her mind randomly vision how her only child facial
expression was when he saw his life ending within a flash”. Her mental capacity
is off balance dealing with her son’s horrific tragedy. She stated, “No mother
should have to bury her child under the reckless of a supposed to be well trained professional
NJ Transit/Coach USA driver”. Ms Johnson also stated, “Her son Mr. Johnson was severally
disfigured that she could not have an open casket”.
The bus driver jumps the curb while her son was knocking on the door. When the bus drove on the curb where her son fell down at as the Coach bus driver driving NJTranist bus dragged her son 50 to 100 feet to his death. You can check August 16 Montclair Time for update on this remarkable young man who life was taken from a reckless bus driver. Ms Johnson’s son was not the only person was killed by a bus driver.
Sadly to say, no arrest or charges been brought against the driver. These cases are dismissed and label as accident needs to stop when the bus driver is at fault. When a bus is speeding on residential roads above the speed limit and turning around the corner at a fast speed should not be considered an accident. According to some of my research, I came across seven people killed and 50 badly injure within few months period.
I asked Ms Johnson did anyone from NJ Transit, Coach USA, and County, Mayor of Bloomfield Township or the driver called her when this tragedy first happen and offer some type of help or their condolences she stated, no. I thought how insensitive and inhuman of all them not reaching out to this distort disable mother who have to defend on her own. If the bus was not speeding around the corner and jumping the curb Mr. Johnson will still be by his mother side. If in fact, the bus jumped the curb without speeding this 22 year old talented young man/college student would have been injured not dead.
The Essex County prosecutor is not doing a good job with Deshon’s Johnson criminal vehicle homicide investigation. Ms. Johnson does not know anything about the bus driver who killed her son. The Essex County Prosecutor Office did not notify her about the case level of her son Deshon Johnson case. Her son’s best friend mothers and she went to the prosecutor office Aug 8, 2012 to seek for information on his death and his cell phone. Needless to say, the assistance prosecutor did not know anything about the case. After leaving the office the prosecutor office rushes to cover up their error in not properly notifying Ms Johnson about her son case by sending her a letter on August 9, 2012.

On August the 14, 2012 her
son’s best friends mothers, her sister and her met with a group of assistance
prosecutors still giving her little information about her son’s case, no
information on the bus driver and no accident report or her son’s cell phone.
The chief of assistance prosecutor promise her he will return her son’s cell
phone in two days. Needless to say, he never called back until few weeks later.
Ms. Johnson is looking to pass a bill in
honor of her son Deshon Johnson and make positive change for other victims
everywhere. She wants the bill to focus on preventing similar tragedies. She knows
the bill will not be a remedy to bring back love ones but implement safety
awareness and jail time for the drivers.
Some of these bus drivers are reckless
and insensitive to pedestrian, other drivers etc. She feels there should be a
negligent vehicular homicide criminal charge brought against these bus driver
and jail time. "The bill may or may not have saved Deshon’s life but it
will save future lives.
When she buried her son Deshon, she took a pledge to make a difference in other people’s lives. She promised her son she will carry on his music and his legacy.
By enforcing citizens safety when a road
is under construction and rude bus driving behavior. She does not want her son
die in vain.
