Re: Internal Affairs Complaint 25-5 The Glen Ridge Police Department has completed its review of the allegations regarding Incident 25-05455, which occurred on February 24, 2025.

Sgt. Anthony Mazza conducted a motor vehicle stop of your vehicle after observing the vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Woodland Ave and Douglas Road. This violation is recorded on the vehicle’s mobile video recorder. During the stop, Sgt. Mazza also determined that the vehicle’s registration had expired in September 2024. He advised you of the expired registration and informed you that the vehicle would be impounded, this is in accordance with department policy. He also suggested that you arrange for a ride.

The decision to impound the vehicle was consistent with the policies and procedures of the Glen Ridge Police Department, as well as the applicable provisions of Title 39 of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Statutes.

After reviewing all available media, relevant departmental policies and procedures, and applicable Title 39 statutes, the investigation determined that Sgt. Mazza followed appropriate policies and procedures.

As you have requested, all media has been preserved as it relates to this incident. The videos were previously shared to your e-mail on March 12th, 2025, however I will have them resent to you based off of your most current e-mail request from 6/25/2025. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. file:///home/justice/Downloads/25-5%20-%20Closeout%20Letter%20-%20Complainant.pdf
